The Power Of One....Chris Janson

During our first pastorate in Perryville, Missouri, we had so many great experiences. One of those experiences was meeting a young man at the age of 15 or so. I led worship at that time. The story is beautiful but there just isn't enough room to write it all down here. As we were moving from one building to another, because of the growth, there was a lot of change. In that process we became friends, mentors, and just loved this special kid that came into our lives. He helped us with drums at times. He helped lead a few worship songs. But what really stood out in the midst of his struggles as a teen, was his heart for God.

You just never know who God will put in front of you. We have met many wonderful, amazing people along the way. We love each and every one.
I know there has been many people come into his life to help lead and direct him in his journey along the way. We pray for Chris in all that God has for him. As a pastor you just never know how big the one can be. It's implied over and over that if you reach thousands then....you are successful. But what if God calls you over and over to just reach out to those " one " at a time.

We totally surprised him at his concert  at the Fairgrounds in Springfield, MO.

What's For Dinner

I have been making a lot of new recipes lately. Here are a couple that I want to share with you.

First one is baked tacos.

Prebake your cooked taco meat (well drained), rice, beans, cheese in hard shells all at once. 400 degrees till baked (10min.)
Take out and let everyone top them off with their favorite toppings.

I have four huge guys two almost 6ft and two over 6'3.  It's all about that food here! Haha...they keep me in menu creative mode.

Ok, the other new recipe that got thumbs up is a new creation on Chili Corn Dogs....

It's a perfect quick on the go meal.

Sweetcornbread mix in a long cornbread pan. Place two precooked hotdogs together leave a space then place two more...and so on..

Bake 400 till golden. Cut into rectangles around the two hotdogs. Top with chili and cheese
Great winter meal.
